Frequently Asked Questions

Great question! Our stock is constantly coming and going so we may have the model you want in stock or it may need to be ordered in.

If we have the model you are looking for in stock it can be ready for delivery in 1-3 weeks.  If we have to order it in then it will take up to 16 weeks to have it ready for you.

Give us a call and we’ll let you know exactly how long it will take to get what you need.

Delivery costs vary widely depending on where we are shipping to.

The best thing to do is give us a call and we can get you a quote on shipping costs.

Absolutely!

Different fully assembled units require different equipment for delivery.  We can let you know what arrangements you need to make if you prefer to do your own delivery.

For unassembled units we recommend picking the unit up yourself with a 24′ cube truck.  This will be much more economical than using a delivery company.

We will be happy to give you a quote for delivery if you would like.

Absolutely!  We have a showroom in Surrey BC where you can see our demo units.  The site is not open to the general public so call ahead and we can set up an appointment to view.

Different municipalities have different rules about this.  We recommend contacting your local by-law department and getting the needed data from them.

We have experience in some municipalities around the lower mainland so you can call us and we can advise if we have worked in your area before.

As electrical and plumbing standards vary in each municipality, our units do not come with any standard connection.  The wiring and plumbing terminate outside of the unit and you can have a contractor make the appropriate connections for your municipality.

You don’t HAVE to do anything, we can ship the unit to your site and you can prep the site after, but you would have to move it yourself once you had the site prepped so we don’t recommend that.

We recommend that you prep the area before hand.  You will need a flat area where the container can sit and this has to be solid ground.  We do not recommend placing it directly on dirt or grass.  No foundation is required but a gravel bed would be advisable at a minimum.   We also recommend placing the unit on treated lumber runners or cement blocks so that it is off the ground and not sitting in water.

You will, of course, need electrical connections  for all the units and plumbing for the Lodge and Cabin units.  If these do not exist in your location already you will need to install these.

Great news, you don’t need to!  The units all come insulated.

The pop-up unit is 2 inch insulation with a value of R 10

The assembly and flat-pack units have 3 inches of insulation for a value of R16

The units do not come with any heating or air conditioning built in.  Circuits are provided that allow you to install floor heating, baseboard heating or just use a space heater.

A window mounted air conditioning unit will also provide adequate cooling.

If you wish to use a wood stove you must check with a certified installer as to requirements.

The walls are all coated steel so you can use any paint that would be appropriate for painting metal surfaces.   So go nuts with the paint and send us photos of what you come up with!
